WTF Michael Kors????

____

I regularly receive sales emails... Saw this today annnnnd.....

Lookie lookie at a major and blatant copy from my dear Michael Kors...
 Looks KINDA familiar, doesn't it?

Just to refresh your memory...

Hmmmm, I do understand that fashion is all about inspiration, but bitch please... This is a COPY!

Imagine his annoying voice saying: "Let's just erase this Bulgari crap from this ring and put my name on it instead! Yeah! Muuuuch better!!!! Mommy would be proud!"

Still love you Michael! ;-)

Great Finds At Buffalo Exchange!

_____

Tod's and Moschino? On crazy discounted prices? YES, please!!!

This is a very funny story, because I hardly needed to get addicted to another store, shopaholic that I am... But I am addicted to Buffalo Exchange!

At first I thought that the stuff was gross (second had store... Icky!) and I would not find anything of interest...

Did do a major closet cleaning recently and decided to sell some things over there. They absolutely give you almost nothing for your stuff = but they also sell good stuff cheap... So... I did sell some things I really did not want and got a measly 17 bucks for it in cash (it would have been more if I wanted store credit = should have kept it as store credit!).

Anyway, Buffalo Exchange is on my way back home from work.

So, I decided to pop in there once in a while... Did find some interesting things, but nothing really appealed to me.

Then, one bright day, I did spot this great Moschino scarf!

Artichokes and ribbons!!!! How CUTE is that?
Moschino is known for their quirky stuff! And this for me is cute quirky!!!
And.... 25 bucks only!!!!
Of course that wasn't really the final price, because it did involve a trip to the dry cleaners! I saw how gross people sell their things without washing...
Pretty happy shopping experience I would say!

Then, another day, another deal!

Another look at the store and guess what I found????

A beautiful and authentic Tod's Pashmy Bauletto bag just hanging forlornly in a rack along with yucky other bags!
Could not believe my eyes when I saw that it was a real one (real python, markings, serial number, etc!), it had very light use,  and it was ONLY 75 bucks!!!!!

Remember seeing an ad with Sienna Miller years ago = discovered that it belonged to the 2007/2008 collection. She has the large version, while mine is the medium (which is big enough for me!):

And then, of course I did some online research before I bought that beauty (in the store no less) and saw some other bags for sale on the internet:

Same ones (although I haven't seen ANY with python handles and trim) for sale now! Look at the prices!!!! The original price was like $1,350 and used ones are for sale for more than $400!!!!

HAD TO GET IT!!!!

Note to self: do NOT enter Buffalo Exchange on a regular basis! That store is a total sin for shopaholics like LULU!!!!

Another Tuxedo Loafer!

______

I am in the tuxedo loafer mood lately...

I did get a Steve Madden Croquetl (funneee name) skull one not long ago - in preparation for the fall - but I just could NOT resist the leopard one too!!!
The funny story is that Lulu only (or almost always) buys stuff in promotions...
And the skull one was for sale. From $80 to like $55...

Now the sale on that specific one was no longer one. It was full price: $79.95...
So I was almost giving up when I saw that the salespeople were handing "scratch-off" discount coupons...
Did get a couple for 25% off... Not happy with that, asked for ANOTHER one to see if I had better luck - and I DID!

Go one coupon for 35% off!!! Couldn't let this go...

So I did get this beauty for around $55!!!!

YAY !!!! ;-)

Another Wonderful Williamsburg Day!

________

The "eternal" question popped up this past Sunday: "where can we go for brunch on a beautiful summer day?"

We, "Manhattanites" , especially moi, are tired of the same old NYC joints with overpriced food and boring ambiance...
So, we stopped the lazy in us and took another trip to Williamsburg!!! The first one was so awesome, so we've ventured again!

Of course, we were on the late side and also hungry/thirsty! So, after a lot of walking around, we've settled for Juliette again! We've been therein the first and only time we've been in Billyburg...
But the place is great, so why fix what is not broken?

Place (and hubby) are cute! He even offered this Facebook caption: "The Williamsburg section of Paris" ;-)

Happy on a Sunday!

Hubby's delish Croque Madame

Lulu's cured salmon over a potato pancake! DELICIOUS

My latest $15 street FIND! Please read about this here.

For some other well-invested $15 bucks, did score a 1961 phone book sized L'Officiel chockfull of amazing Mad Men era fashions!!! Yay!
The cutest thing was the lady selling it! She did ask me if I did like art, and I've replied that I do love fashion! Her friends/family were surprised that someone would buy this thing! LOL!

Then we were thirsty again after all that walking, shopping, etc.

Look at hubs (still carrying the painting!!!) in front of our new favorite beer garden: Radegast Hall!!!

My FRIEND Franz Joseph was also there! No signs of Sisi tho, an Empress would not be caught dead in a Biergarten!!!

Place looks AMAZING, very Austrian. Looks super old, even though it was "founded" in 2007!
We will HAVE to go back there! They do have schnitzel and goulash!!!!!!

Hubs thinking about life

Lulu is like "where did the weekend go?"

We are simply in love with Williamsburg! We will certainly be back!!!

A Fantastic Find in Williamsburg!

 _____

Cannot even say how much I love Williamsburg!
I even blogged about it earlier this year.

Then we decided to go there again, and I fell even more in love with this awesome place!

I will tell you all about it soon, but... Would like to start with my purchases! More specifically ONE purchase that was beyond incredible:

This painting:

Lulu was posing with this painting all over Williamsburg!

Just could not believe my luck!

Walking down the crowded sidewalks of this wonderful place, I do see this really nice painting with an even prettier antique frame.
It was just there, in the sidewalk, forlornly propped in a wall...

Then I ask the guy and he starts saying how nice is the frame, probably 19th century, etc, etc. And then he is like "It is fifteen dollars"... All that "selling" for FIFTEEN bucks???!!!

Could not believe my ears and immediately whipped up my wallet and got it!!!!

It was relatively early in the day, and we (I mean the hubby), had to carry that all over the city, but boy, was it worth it!

Look at it in our wall:

Lovely, ain't it?

Ok, so I did see it was an old frame, but how old is the oil on canvas painting itself? Could not really tell, but fortunately I did understand the signature: Nell Boardman.

Just a little googling and voila!!!

Nell Boardman (1894-1968)
Birth place: Calendar, IA
Death place: NYC

Profession: Painter

Member: Catherine L. Wolfe A. Cl.; Indst. Inst.; All. A. Am.; AAPL; Nat. Lg. Am. Pen Women; Wash. Square Bus. & Prof. Cl.

Yeah, that's the same signature!

Her paintings go from anywhere from $495 to $1,200!!!

So, the best $15 I've spent!!!

Besides, I am in love with the painting itself!

YAY! Williamsburg!!!

Super Cute Loafers!

____

Those old grandpa slippers are on trend again!

I did have a Ralph Lauren pair, like a million years ago - they still look awesome, but unfortunately, they don't fit anymore... Don't ask. I guess my foot grew in the past decade...

So now I had to do the "sacrifice" of buying new ones...

Look at this cuteness from Steven Madden:

Cute, huh?
Yeah, I am preparing myself for the impeding fall season.

And guess what. They were on sale, yeah, SALE ,  a fall shoe on sale before the fall!

Just $55... Who can resist?

In love with this song! Elton John and Pnau

_______

Always loved Elton John, especially his old classics. And this is simply wonderful: the video graphics and of course the beautiful song!
A must hear!
