The BEST online sample sale virtual stores!

A big trend that has been happening for quite some time now: the online sample sale!

I do live in Manhattan and when i discover any decent sample sale, half of the world is already in line. One time, I simply gave up after standing in line for more than 1 hour - outside - and after discovering that I would be crammed in a tiny elevator, I just gave up. So not worth it.
Also, if you buy something on a sample sale, you cannot return it at all.

The beauty of sites like Rue La La and Gilt is that, although you cannot try on things, they can be returned for a credit. Not bad. I am a big fan of saving big on luxury items. These are member-only, but not that difficult to get "invited" (see below). But another warning: GO THERE EARLY - Ruelala "opens" at 11 am. Good things run out fast.
