My grandparent's former apartment in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Just found these shots on my computer. Pure nostalgia...

This is the apartment where I've spent great childhood moments. A huge place (not only by children's standards).

Had to post this...

Of course these shots were for the online selling ad, so the amazing decorations my grandparents spent most of their lives collecting weren't present anymore...

The apartment has since sold. But the memories will always be with me ...

Memory Lane... An "American" House in Sao Paulo Brazil

Are we in Connecticut? Or any American suburbia?
Nope. This is Brazil, Sao Paulo to be exact.
I was really happy to find this shot online... Brought so many memories...
This American white picket fence gem is in a super fancy Sao Paulo neighborhood: Jardins.
I've always loved this place. Used to look at it almost every day = it was next to my old school.
Wondered who built this unusual house (for Brazil) and who lived there...

Sixties vibes...

This past weekend was a 60's revival in my home.
Finally managed to watch " A Single Man" with my fave Colin Firth (love him)!
A visual feast on a beautiful and fashionable time: the early 60's.

Absolutely loved everything: the acting was superb, the clothing, amazing , the story totally heartbreaking. Tom Ford, you are awesome - I guess you know that, no? ;-)

This visual and emotional feast was on Saturday.

Sunday afternoon: I know, I know: I've seen "Hatari!" a million times, but watched it AGAIN!
Love that movie. Love the "African Safari Chic" with the skinny and gorgeous Elsa Martinelli!

Then... on Sunday nite - another dose of 60's beauty: Mad Men!
Favorite, favorite!!!

A totally groovy 60's weekend!!!

Childhood Nostalgia...Cartoons...

Some signs that you might be getting OLD... they don't make like those anymore...

I've loved these cartoons when I was a kid:

The Pink Pather - how intelligent were those cartoons? The Panther did not have to speak a word... Brilliant...

Seriously, I would KILL for that costume when I was a kid

This cartoon was one of my faves: "A Princesa e o Cavaleiro" or known internationally as the Princess Knight.

"Toro e Pancho" in Brazil, or better known as "Tijuana Toads"

"Cobrinha azul" or the "The Blue Racer" another BRILLIANT and crazy cartoon. The snake is always after the Japanese Beetle... I don't know about everywhere else, but this beetle had the cutest voice in Brazil and sang a crazy "To-li-to-li-to-la" song...

Good times. They don't make cartoons like this anymore.... :-(
